Pacific Northwest

Small Farm & Garden Lifestyle
Feb 26 – March 6, 2022

PACIFIC NORTHWEST LUMEN FIELD EVENT CENTER

800 Occidental Ave S, Seattle WA 98134 Space 0-18

How it began:

Sandy point Gardens was founded in 2016. The need for a community space to Gather in the warm spring and summer on the beautiful Sandy Point Community located in the Pacific Northwest was the inspiration. Many of the Homes there as well as across the nation don’t have the space or sunlight to grow things. The Garden became a place to share ideas meet the neighbors, share stories.

The Garden began to grow…

Garden beds for flowers, fruits and Vegetables. A Chicken coop and run for 25+ chickens for fresh eggs and entertainment. A shed for storage. A building for crafts and classes. A Pizza oven built by the community and picnic benches for gatherings became a community Gathering spot.

WHO WE ARE

The Small Farm and Garden Showcase will capitalize on this surge in home farming and gardening by promoting American farms and products, with an emphasis on those sourced from within the Pacific Northwest Not only will we have gardening and farming products from our sponsors available for sale, but we will also include a rotation of presentations and demonstrations, including small farm animals, chicken coops, greenhouses, raised garden beds, hydroponics, worm farms, gardening, fermentation, canning, and more.

This showcase is designed and produced by volunteers with a passion for farming and gardening. The exhibit is approximately 5033 square feet, with a flowing, thoughtful layout, where customers can easily visit every sponsor’s area. In addition, a large screen TV will display sponsors’ products and their uses and the schedule of speakers and events. We also hope to have a live hatch cam featuring baby chickens, which is a first for the Seattle Home & Garden Show.
